One of the things that makes LIS, TRENDS, and NIIS so popular among their many member companies is the wide variety of publications each service offers.  Employees of LIS, TRENDS, and NIIS member companies are entitled to receive any or all of these publications as part of their membership.  Members can also apply for free access to the LIS, TRENDS, and NIIS databases.  These Internet-based systems contain full-text of and references to hundreds of thousands of nuclear-industry related documents.  Get the most from your membership and sign up today.

  Licensing Activities Report (LAR) - The LAR will keep you informed about precedent setting licensing actions.   This biweekly publication provides a brief synopsis of Tech Spec submittals and approvals, Exemption requests and approvals, and ISI requests and approvals.

  LIS Meeting Summaries and Meeting Schedule - Find out what happened at meetings you were too busy to attend with the LIS Meeting Summaries.  This weekly publication,  prepared by attending Scientech engineers, provides summaries of over 200 meetings per year, with the associated meeting handouts being available upon request.

Nuclear Issues Information Service (NIIS) Members

  Nuclear Briefly - Nuclear Briefly is a quarterly newsletter structured to provide a concise report on the industry issues being monitored by the Scientech Nuclear Issues Information Service (NIIS). This newsletter is prepared with the nuclear professional in mind. The industry progress in the twelve significant regulatory issues is presented so that you can determine any impact on your organization. This publication will provide you with the information for you to influence the industry where you feel it is necessary. Each of the twelve significant industry regulatory issues is summarized including a synopsis of the most recent regulatory activity. In addition, any upcoming events are highlighted. Additional detailed issue descriptions are available on rs.scientech.com.

Request an NIIS Website ID and Password -  A successful nuclear plant license renewal application requires a team effort to address numerous plant-specific and generic issues.  Having prior license renewal applications, guidance documents, and our unique RAI (request for additional information) Response Database available will help you avoid, or at least reduce, future questions about you application.


TRENDS Members

  TRENDS Weekly Newsletter - The TRENDS Weekly Newsletter reports on the results of NRC's inspection activities. It culls out NRC findings by functional area and describes the results for inspection reports reviewed during the week. Once per month, the newsletter provides a synopsis of Part 21 notifications.

TRENDS OE Members

  TRENDS OE Inspector - TRENDS serves the OE community by screening NRC inspection reports and summarizing issues related to operating experience (OE).  These summaries are then posted on rs.scientech.com, and OE Inspector members are notified via e-mail which includes links to the posted web summaries.

Request a TRENDS OE Website ID and Password -  Involved with OE issues?  Then sign up for access to the TRENDS OE website, which reports on OE program issues as they are docketed.


Other

  Commercial Nuclear Power Plants, 24th Edition (dated March 2007), is an electronic booklet (pdf format) containing information about US nuclear units, such as their locations, ownership, specifications, and a map showing Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regions 1-4.  Available to members and non-members.
